Artist's Description
Since Bamboo is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility, it has come to represent harmony and balance in one's life. As such, it is considered lucky in many Asian cultures. It's also the fastest growing plant on the planet and can shoot up 3 feet in just one day! This is another design in my Asian series featuring this lucky plant against an abstract background of various shades of green. The two symbols represent the words "believe" and "art" because I think every artist should believe in their artwork.
This acrylic painting was my Day 75 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at Fineartamerica with other artists. We aim to create a new piece of artwork a day for 100 straight days. It was painted using acrylic paints on bright white watercolor paper.
