Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Who doesn't love a kiwi? The bird, that is. With his whimsical face, long beak, and hairlike feathers, he's recognized as the national bird of New Zealand. Kiwi birds are flightless, nocturnal, and about the size of a domestic chicken. Kiwi habits and physical characteristics are so like a mammal the bird is sometimes referred to as an honorary mammal. The kiwi's egg is one of the largest in proportion to body size, weighing up to 20% of its mother's weight.This pencil drawing on bright white paper is for an art Challenge here at Fineartamerica that I'm participating in.
