Ink and pencil drawing of a Marguerite daisy. "He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not." This quaint little game, to determine if your object of affection loved you back, originated in France. One would pick petals off a daisy and whichever phrase you ended up with upon picking the final petal was the answer to your question. Of course, if you were like me, you'd simply keep picking new daisies to pluck until you got the answer you wanted!
