Description
My signature black cat loves to travel and he's currently visiting St. Louis, Missouri. Here he is enjoying the Gateway Arch at sunset. It's a beautiful sight made all the more special because of the full moon. What a magnificent view!
The Arch, commonly known as "The Gateway to the West", is the centerpiece of Gateway Arch National Park and has become an internationally recognized symbol of St. Louis. It was designed by architect Eero Saarinen in 1947. Construction began February, 1963, and was completed on October, 1965.
This piece was created by hand using gouache and acrylic paints and ink on watercolor paper.
This mixed media was my Day 27 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at FAA with other artists. We aim to do one new creation per day for 100 days.

This is retro-cool, Donna...It reminds me of the Disney theatre days when going to the movies was a huge treat. I can’t remember which movie It was but there were black cats...I still see the eyes and the dark city night scenes with the moon. You bring retro memories into design NOW and it is really a great signature style...LF
