These two cats can't believe what they see in this painting by French impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir. They can't believe that little dog is allowed on the table, and during a meal no less! Why if they tried that at home they would be shooed off immediately.
This design has special meaning for me. When my mother was alive she took up oil painting after she retired, and her favorite artist was Renoir. This painting, titled Luncheon of the Boating Party, was one of her favorites of his.

I've seen this one in person, Donna. It's a relatively large painting in the Phillips Collection in Washington DC. I like the background colors you're choosing for these.

Oh wow! You’re lucky! I read about it being in Washington DC and saw it was big. Think it said it was 68” wide. That’s my height! Lol
