Description
This cute dog reminds me of our sweet Tootsie. She is a Maltese Bichon Frise mix. We adopted her after her first owner died. She was 8 years old and they said at the shelter she was nearly blind and hard of hearing. When I opened her cage door she came right out and instantly rolled onto her back for me to pet her tummy. What a sweetheart she was! We adopted her and have been so blessed. She still rolls over to get her tummy pet, so she has been given the nickname Tootsie Roll. I love happy endings, don't you? This watercolor painting on bright white watercolor paper was my Day 82 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at Fineartamerica with other artists. We aim to create one new piece of art a day for 100 consecutive days.

I love your series of watercolour paintings Donna...you have such a wonderfully rich DESIGN aesthetic and your expressive watercolour additions are beautifully expanding your love of mid century modern. The backstory here adds such warmth to this painting. Amazing challenge entries...approaching the 100 day goal. BRAVA!...go girl!

Very sweet Donna, loved the little video with her sunglasses. LF

Thank you Renata! Yes, those sunglasses are a hoot! She can only see out of one eye, so we aim to protect it well.
