Here in Texas we had quite the winter storm this past February. To our amazement (and dismay) temperatures dropped down to 3 degrees! Our power went out for days and we got mighty cold. All I kept thinking about were the warmer days that lay ahead. I love visiting tropical islands. I love islands so much I would love to live on one. This is my watercolor vision of Hawaii, specifically Maui. When we were there I could not believe I could see the island of Lanai off in the distance. I long to lie in the shade of a palm tree on a sandy beach where I can close my eyes and listen to the ocean.
This watercolor painting was my Day 81 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at Fineartamerica with other artists. We aim to create one new piece of art a day for 100 consecutive days.
