Artist's Description
Watercolor painting of my version of the Ashton Villa house. Ashton Villa was the first brick mansion in Galveston and one of the first brick homes to be built in the state of Texas. The brick walls are thirteen inches thick to keep out the Gulf Coast humidity and provide strength. I grew up in Houston and we frequently took day trips to Galveston. My favorite part besides the beach was touring the old mansions like Ashton Villa and the Bishop's Palace. Both amazing homes!
I'm participating in a three day Challenge here at Fineartamerica and the theme is PERSPECTIVE. Today I wanted to create something with a two point perspective. In other words, with two vanishing points.
This is my Day 2 submission.
