Description
Mod lava lamp in yellow and orange on a blue background, surrounded by groovy flowers. I had to see the dentist often as a child, and in the waiting room was a lava lamp. I was mesmerized by it! British entrepreneur Edward Craven-Walker had the idea for the lava lamp in 1963 after watching a homemade egg timer, which was made from a cocktail shaker filled with liquids, as it was bubbling on a stove top in a pub. He made millions of them, then called Astro Lamps. I still love them, don't you?
This was my Day 35 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at Fineartamerica with other artists. It was hand painted using acrylics on an 8" X 10" canvas board.
