The cherry blossom season in Japan is a favorite time of year for locals and international travelers alike. Festivals pop up around the country, and people race from south to north to experience the entire season. This is my interpretation of the Japanese Sakura tree, with it's pink blossoms just emerging.
This painting was my Day 73 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at Fineartamerica with other artists. We aim to create one new piece of art a day for 100 consecutive days. It was hand painted using both watercolors and acrylics on watercolor paper.
