Description
In 1999, my daughter and I visited London, England with some students from her class. What a wonderful time we had! I thought the city was so beautiful and so quaint with its red phone booths and double decker buses. I could not get enough of the old architecture and the famous landmarks. Of course we all squeezed into a red phone booth and had our photo taken, and we greatly enjoyed riding in the upper level of a red double decker bus. I think that's what the girls remember most. This is a whimsical watercolor painting to help me remember the red phone booths and red double decker buses. And Big Ben! We absolutely adored seeing Big Ben and listening to the chimes when it sounded the time, hence the reason he made it into the painting. Oh how I'd love to go back to London some day!
This painting on bright white watercolor paper was hand painted using watercolors and ink. It was my Day 90 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at Fineartamerica with other artists. We aim to create one new piece of art a day for 100 consecutive days.
