Artist's Description
I find rivers very relaxing and even meditative. Sitting quietly next to a river, my thoughts, emotions and even troubles seem to flow away with the movement of the water. I often think if it's that relaxing up above, it must be doubly so underneath, where there's hardly any sound. This abstract painting, in shades of browns and aqua blues, represents the calm of a river bottom where smooth pebbles seem content as they lie undisturbed.
This painting was my Day 98 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at Fineartamerica with other artists. We aim to create one new piece of art a day for 100 consecutive days. It was hand painted using acrylic paints on watercolor paper.
