My mid century modern black dog loves the Christmas holidays. He loves the way the tree smells like his favorite park, where pine trees abound. He loves the smells coming from the kitchen. He even enjoys the funny red and green shiny things hanging on the tree. He thought they were for him, but when he attempted to play with one it fell to the ground and smashed into a million pieces. What kind of toy is that, he thought? Falls apart the moment you play with it. Humph! He hopes Santa brings him a better toy come Christmas morning. One made of rubber or plastic, so it won't break.
