Artist's Description
Most mid century modern enthusiasts are familiar with the Arne Jacobsen egg chair, but did you know there was another, less known egg chair? Designed by Henrik Thor Larsen, the Ovalia egg pod chair was exhibited for the first time at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair in 1968. To me, it looks more like an egg than the Arne Jacobsen chair. Featured here with an orange interior it looks fabulous with the purple and orange alien sci fi artwork. A father and child alien are intrigued by the black rocket ship that has just landed on their purple planet. Are the visitors friendly? They aren't sure, so for now they will stay hidden behind the rock pillars. This design will please any science fiction outer space lover, especially if they are also a fan of black cats.
