Ink and watercolor of an Eichler home in California. Joseph Leopold Eichler was a 20th century post war American real estate developer known for developing distinctive residential subdivisions of mid-century modern style tract housing in California. Eicher hired local modernist architects to design homes that would be different from the traditional architecture. I just love Eichler homes, and I especially love this one with the orange door and desert like landscaping.
