Product Details

Our throw pillows are made from 100% spun polyester poplin fabric and add a stylish statement to any room. Pillows are available in sizes from 14" x 14" up to 26" x 26". Each pillow is printed on both sides (same image) and includes a concealed zipper and removable insert (if selected) for easy cleaning.

Artist's Description

About thirty years ago a fellow we knew traveled to Japan and he brought home two Japanese dolls for me and my daughter. There was a fabric Geisha girl doll dressed in a lovely kimono and there was a lovely carved and painted wooden doll. It was fortunate my daughter reached first for the Geisha doll because I really wanted the wooden painted doll. We were so grateful for these gifts! Months later a missionary couple was visiting our church, and they spoke to us after the service. They had returned home from Japan and had brought some items to show us from their time serving there. The wife had a small collection of these lovely wooden dolls just like mine that our friend had brought home from Japan. She called them Kokeshi dolls. I never knew they had a name. Kokeshi dolls are traditionally made for children and were originally sold to visitors to hot springs in the Tohoku region of Japan during the late Edo period (1600-1868), to supplement business and keep workers' hands busy durin...
