Artist's Description
Watercolor Asian art featuring a house tucked away in a mountainous region somewhere in China. Calm, muted colors give a relaxed feeling. When I was a teenager I decorated my bedroom with Asian accents, including bamboo scrolls with scenes very similar to this. I was fascinated that the artist was able to express so much with mostly suggestive line drawings. I found the muted colors were very soothing, and beautiful. I still love Asian art. Wish I had kept those scrolls.
This painting on bright white watercolor paper was hand painted using watercolors and ink. It was my Day 94 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at Fineartamerica with other artists. We aim to create one new piece of art a day for 100 consecutive days.

BTW, I used to decorate my bedroom with bamboo scrolls too! I also always had a paper umbrella as a overhead light covering. I also wish I'd kept them.
