When I was in seventh grade I dearly wanted a pair of saddle oxfords shoes. I mean, all the girls wore them! We didn’t have much money growing up since my mother raised us on her own. Yet somehow my dear mother managed to get me and my twin sisters each a pair. I wore them every single day!!
