My signature black cat is fascinated by this Eames House bird. He wonders how it can stand so still and not move a muscle! He's carefully watching it though, and the minute it tries to fly away he's going to pounce on it. The Vitra Bird statue rose to stardom in the 1950s when Charles and Ray Eames pulled it from their own living room and photographed it with a group of Eames chairs for a poster. Vitra continues to reproduce this wonderful bird. On the wall is a colorful George Nelson ball clock, another favorite among mid century enthusiasts.
