Description
Being a Christian, I love crosses. I also love mosaics, so today (since it's Sunday today) I decided to combine the two. I painted the cross in blue, mint green and purple and the background in pink, peach and yellow. As I worked, I thought about George Müller. I'm reading a biography about him and what an amazing faith he had! He was an evangelist who lived in the 1800s and was the director of the Ashley Down orphanage in Bristol, England. He fully trusted in God to provide for his daily needs, as well as the needs of the children in the orphanage. One day he and his wife literally had no food in the house, but at the dinner hour they set their table as usual, sat down, and prayed. There came a knock at the door and a woman had brought them a ham! George knew that somehow, in some way, the Lord would provide. He never doubted or worried. Oh that some day I would have a faith half as strong as George Müller's!
This mosaic cross painting was my Day 48 entry in the 100 day challenge I'm participating in at Fineartamerica with other artists. It was hand painted using acrylic paint and ink on bright white watercolor paper.
